The winter months take quite the toll on your skin, but not if you incorporate these five amazing products into your skincare routine.
1 - Let the Good Times Roll by Lush Cosmetics
Let the Good Times Roll by Lush is a face wash I have returned to for over five years. As someone who's skin type is dry/combination, this product has worked wonders for me. When I use it, my face feels moisturized and fresh. It also has a buttery, gritty texture that smells amazing and gently exfoliates. Its made from maize flour, polenta and has a subtle popcorn topping. At only $12.95 (for the 3.5 oz.) this is a godsend!
2 - Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer
When it comes to moisturizers, I've had a difficult time pinpointing one that doesn't break me out. I discovered this Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + last Christmas when I had an Ulta gift card that was burning a hole in my pocket. I picked it up for $28 (for 4.2 fl. oz) and have absolutely gotten my money's worth out of it. Not only did it last me an entire 10 months, it hydrates my skin without making it greasy, and is made from ingredients that don't break me out. I use this most days and nights by combining a pea sized amount with a toner in my palm and applying it to my face.
3 - Call of Fruity Hand Food by Soap and Glory
Alligator hands are the absolute worst in the winter, period! I've used the Hand Food lotion by Soap and Glory in a variety of scents, but I like this one the best. The "fruity," label would typically be off-putting to me, but the subtle hint of fruit is accompanied by the brand's original scent, which makes it pleasant and tolerable.
4 - Dream Cream Hand and Body Lotion by LUSH Cosmetics
This is a product that's relatively new to my routine. Upon my last visit to LUSH, a sales associate recommended I try this product to combat my eczema, which I seem to only experience mildly on my left arm, biannually (I know, its strange). I have yet to have a flareup this year, but I have been using this on my hands and face and it is comparable to my ride or die Clinique! I received a complimentary sample size to try it out, but typically the Dream Cream is $29.95 (for 8.4 oz).
5 - Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk by Soap and Glory
If you take nothing else away from today's post, just know this: YOU AREN'T TENDING TO YOUR SKIN PROPERLY UNTIL YOU USE A CLEANSER!!! I cannot emphasize that enough. Prior to incorporating this into my routine, I would get terrible breakouts at a certain point each month. After purchasing this for only $12 (11.8 fl. oz), I have yet to experience that again! The cleansing milk also helps to melt away leftover makeup on your skin. The Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk is a gem.
