I recently pulled the trigger on something I've been saying I wanted to do for a long time: I got new glasses! This time around, I got blue light filtering lenses to see if they would make a difference in my experience looking at screens on my phone, computer and TV.
I don't need to wear my glasses 24/7 to see clearly but I wanted a new pair so I could wear them when I read and do computer work, and I figured if I have them for those reasons I may as well get the blue light filtering lenses. I look at screens for school work, at my job and in my free time so I wanted to test them out and see if they make a difference.
SO...do blue lenses make a difference?
I personally feel blue light filtering lenses do make a difference when I am looking at screens. I feel as if my eyes glaze over when I'm writing something or looking at my phone for an extended period of time without them, but I don't feel that way with them on. They make it more tolerable to look at screens and, let's be honest, help me see better while also being super stylish! I'm so in love with my new glasses. I have another pair (my very first that I got when I was 15) but I never liked how they looked on me so having a pair that fit my style more makes me want to wear them 24/7.
At only $75 extra to the total price of my glasses, I would 10/10 recommend them to everyone!
